Super Science Shows at MOTAT
Super Science Shows at MOTAT
The popular 'Science in a Van' show is coming to MOTAT during May. Taking place over two weekends, the dynamic duo of Alan and Emily Worman, will perform their interactive family shows aimed at engaging children with science and teaching them about this fascinating subject in a fun and memorable way. ‘Science in a Van’ provides children with hands-on experiences which demonstrate the relevance of science in everyday life and how essential it is for understanding the world around us.
The Wonderful World of
Bubbles Saturday 2 & 9 May
Bubbles are a
fantastic tool for learning about fundamental scientific
ideas. This experience facilitates the exploration of
materials in order to identify, classify and investigate
them. Children will get an understanding of mixtures, how
they can separate and come together to create a reaction. As
a bonus, participants will get to see bubbles bigger than
their head!
Move It! Sunday 3 & 10
May
This experience explores how things move,
what keeps us ‘grounded’ and why some things move faster
than others. During this interactive show visitors will
learn about Newton’s three laws of motion and then apply
that knowledge to enable ‘Space Chick Steve’ to fly
across the room! While the ‘Move It!’ show answers many
questions about forces, it also inspires participants to
investigate further.
The Super Science Shows are each 30 minutes in duration and take place at 11am, 1pm and 3pm over two weekends. MOTAT is open from 10am to 5pm and normal admission fees apply. Special bookings are not required for these shows. For more information visit the MOTAT website.
