Record Turnout at Recent Open Day at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School
Rangi Ruru Girls’ School has had an impressive turnout for their annual Open Day on Monday 16 May, with more than 600 people through the gates.
Now that figures have been reviewed, it is clear that interest has come from a wide range of families including Christchurch residents, regional families, those new to town, as well as families looking to change schools.
Enquiries at Years 7 and 8 were particularly high with parents looking for an alternative to the traditional intermediate school with particular interest in the new innovative curriculum that is being introduced in 2017 for Years 7 and 8.
Rangi Ruru Principal, Dr Sandra Hastie was thrilled with the “huge demand for entry in 2017” and is encouraging parents to get their applications in quickly to secure a place for their daughter.
