Petition calls for better mental health education

A petition for better mental health education was presented to Parliament 11am Thursday.
21-year-old Lucy McSweeney was motivated to start this campaign by her own mental health issues. McSweeney believes that this is an education issue more than a health issue and that preventative steps would put fewer people in crisis.
“It’s about people knowing where they can seek help before they need it”
9,482 people signed the petition. It was accepted by
Act Party leader and Education Under-Secretary David Seymour
at Parliament.
