NZ-Customs Service Cocaine Seizure

Earlier this week a joint Customs olice operation undertaken in Auckland resulted in the arrest of two males in relation to the importation of 416 grams of high purity cocaine.
The cocaine had earlier been seized by Customs officers engaged on mail screening duties at the International Mail Centre. The drug had been concealed in a wooden ornamental owl sent via mail from Peru.
Two males aged 31 and 42 years, have appeared before the Court on charges relating to the importation.
As this matter is now before the Court no further comment or information is available.
