Raelians To Appeal A Sentence
Raelians To Appeal A Sentence
Following the condemnation of 3 Raelians for religious discrimination simply for their action to warn parents against pedophile catholic priests, Raelians have decided to appeal this judgement and are ready to take this decision to the Federal Tribunal convinced that their rights will be respected.
Furthermore, RAEL has himself put the entire international structure of the Raelian Movement, which exists in 84 countries, at the service of these 3 Raelians. They intend to gather the numbers which indeed prove that the percentage of condemnations for pedophilia among catholic priests is higher than in the general population which means that their 'warning' was actually well justified. They also intend to rely on previous judgements in other countries as well as in the highly catholic canton of Valais which has previously shown that Raelians were right.
RAEL declared: "It is astounding to see that Geneva's judicial authorities condemn those who fight against pedophilia. The Raelian Movement will do everything it can, in all 84 countries where it is represented, to let the world know that the Geneva Justice condemns those who fight against pedophilia in catholic areas. This includes demonstrations in front of Swiss Embassies and Consulates, particularly in the U.S. where, thanks to a more commendable justice,Boston's archdiocese is considering filing for bankruptcy following the huge sums of money that this city's Catholic Church was condemned to pay to hundreds of victims of pedophile catholic priests in this city.
Obviously, in Switzerland, the justice prefers to
stifle these scandals and remain in an old tradition of
discretion just like it was done with the money of the
Jewish victims of Nazism which has enriched swiss banks
with impunity for decades."
