Health and Wellness Expo

Ever wondered what your blood sugar level is? Do you suffer from sabotage
behaviour? Find the answers, and sample healthy foods and organic drinks,
at a Health and Wellness Expo in the Trafalgar Centre's Victory Room on
Sunday 11th June

Two people with a self-confessed passion for health have organised the
inaugural Health and Wellness Expo. Petra Kraase and Debby Verdonk say the
expo aims to showcase health practitioners, products, services and
activities available in the Nelson area.

"It will be a great opportunity for the public to chat face to face with
health practitioners and perhaps experience something that they may heard of
but not tried, Petra says. "A selection of around forty health
practitioners all in one place will let people access information in an
informal way.

The Wellness Expo includes a lecture programme with a variety of speakers,
including Annette Milligan from the Independent Nursing Practice talking
about sexual health. Other guests include the Maori Diabetes Nurse, the
Cancer Society, Neurolink, the Arthritis Foundation, Feldenkrais, Bio
Resonance, Organic Supplements, Yoga, NLP, and Life Coaching.

As well a full lecture programme running from 9.45am to 5 pm there are also
demonstrations ranging from kids Salsa to Tai Chi and Eastern Belly Dancing.
Delicious healthy food and organic coffee will also be available all day.

The organisers plan to hold the expo annually, and in the future would like
to expand to use the whole of the Trafalgar Centre. Admission is $3 per
adult, gold coin for children.
