PlunketLine
as Busy as Ever
Plunket refers to the announcement made today by the Ministry of Health regarding the number of calls received by Healthline since 1 July, of which, according to the Ministry, “about 25 per cent of these calls related to children under five”.
Plunket would like to confirm that:
- Last week, 10 – 17 August, PlunketLine received 1376 calls. 171 of those calls were transferred to Healthline, leaving a total number of well child calls for the week of 1205. This translates to an annualised call rate of 62,660, which is similar to the total number of calls answered last year.
- 100 per cent of the calls received by PlunketLine are not simply “related to children under five”, but are genuine well child service calls.
