Obesity Package
Diabetes New Zealand has welcomed the Government’s $67 million ‘Mission-On’ package of initiatives to fight obesity.
“Diabetes NZ has been calling for action to confront the obesity epidemic and Type 2 diabetes for years and the Mission-On package is in line with recommendations we made to the health select committee,” said Diabetes NZ President, Murray Dear.
“This is a good start, but with the obesity crisis growing every year, more action and more awareness is needed,” said Dear.
