Spiritual School Opens In Waitakere Ranges
Spiritual School Opens In Waitakere Ranges
2007 is the Chinese year of the Fire Pig and the perfect energy for opening a unique spiritual/healing academy says renowned healing practitioner Catherine North.
The Golden Hill School of Healing Arts in Swanson (www.goldenhill.co.nz) is the result of more than 20 years of Catherine’s teaching throughout New Zealand and around the world and will have a campus of international staff teaching a wide variety of courses – from ancient Tibetan energy work to futuristic colour healing.
At 59 Catherine is a stunning example of the power of what she teaches, looking a good 20 years younger than her real age – with no surgery, pills or Botox involved.
“It’s the energy work which gives you the ability to handle life’s stresses that is the secret of staying young,” Catherine, a mother of three and grandmother of ten laughs.
Golden Hill is a professional teaching academy with a focus on giving people the tools to keep themselves and their families well in a world that is filled with stress and tension. The teaching rooms look over a wide vista of bush and distant city views.
Catherine’s work shows how to tap into the extraordinary computer-like ability of the body to know how to heal itself using simple methods such as touch, breath, sound, colour, balancing energy fields, releasing muscle stress. Courses taught include:
- Tibetan Energy – an ancient method of
balancing body energy to improve life, relationships and
career success
- Kinesiology for Kids – improving
children’s self esteem, ability to learn, handwriting,
concentration and sports ability
- Perceptive Vision –
improving vision by removing stress and destructive emotions
that can literally damage the way we `see’
- Soul
Power – a certified course that encompasses connecting to
spiritual guidance, working with the body’s
electro/magnetic healing ability and more
- Aura Soma
– a futuristic colour system
- Touch of Health – an
easy way to keep yourself & your family well
Catherine started her career as a schoolteacher and later began organising community and night school classes across Auckland. She is New Zealand’s representative on the International Kinesiology College and has many stories of synchronicities and strange occurrences that brought her to the life-changing decision to open the school.
“People are desperate for tools that will help them improve their lives, relationships, health, financial success and even ways they can deal with work bullies or difficult bosses, “says Catherine. “People want to leave the past behind, transform their lives and create a positive and successful new future - and we show them how.
“There is a vast number of people who want to learn how to heal themselves - sports people, business men, mothers with children who are struggling with behaviour or learning difficulties, ambitious career women.”
Catherine says the core of her work is about our “soul power”, that when we align our soul and personality we can become well and change all the experiences in our lives.
“Every organ of our body vibrates to a certain colour and sound: for example the heart vibrates to the colours green and pink; the throat with the colour blue which is the colour of communication and authority. We are actually magical beings if you only know how to access and use the power that lies within yourself.”
In the last three years Catherine has also worked with world-renowned visionary artist Pamela Matthews who also lives in Swanson to create a best-selling tarot deck.
Also on staff at Golden Hill (named because Catherine lives on a hill covered with Kowhai blossoms) are skilled teachers including:
- Marion Miller – a former teacher who started learning healing techniques when her son was diagnosed with a learning disability in the mid-1980s. She is on the International Faculty of Kinesiology. Marion runs a second campus
- Dr Wayne Topping – a world-renowned author and founder of Wellness Kinesiology. A New Zealander, Wayne swapped a career as a geologist for that of a healer in 1976 and is now in demand as a teacher worldwide
- Heidi Cramb – a kinesiologist and author, Heidi has also developed the Aotea Rose Essences, a New Zealand version of Bach flower remedies to help people cope with emotional and spiritual traumas
- Lynda and Graham Whiteman – this husband and wife team travel from Dorset, England to teach a polarity energy method at the Golden Hill School
- Philip Rafferty – Melbourne based, Philip is a teacher and healer of Kinergetics a method which helps relieve pain and other aliments
Golden Hill’s reasonably priced courses can lead to certification and diplomas in natural health modalities for those who want to pursue practitioner status.
Catherine can talk on:
- Using your
energy to deal with work bullies and negative people
-
Staying young using energy, colour and other non-surgical
methods
- Transforming life for an ADHD child without
using drugs
- How to change and heal the body’s
