A round of golf with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw has helped raise $5500 for children’s cancer charity Ronald McDonald House.
Bobby Almond and the commodore Hotel won the bid at the recent auction to play golf with McCaw and Canterbury rugby captain Corey Flynn, organiser of the gala charity event fund-raiser Maree Harris of MFactor events said today.
Ronald McDonald House has a house in Christchurch. It cares for the families of children undergoing hospital treatment.
Other auctions included meeting the What Now tv presenters and a dance with Dancing with The Stars personality Brendon Pongia.
MFactor will be staging another charity fund-raiser for Ronald McDonald House at Mu steakhouse on November 4.
All Black Dan Carter and NZ women’s hockey star Honor Dillon will be modelling in it again, along with other celebrity models.
