Plunket welcomes breastfeeding initiative
Plunket welcomes the Government’s commitment to improving breastfeeding rates and for creating supportive environments for breastfeeding in New Zealand.
Plunket’s General Manager of Quality and Development, Angela Baldwin comments:
“The call for comment on a National Strategic Plan of Action for Breastfeeding is excellent news. Breastfeeding is a very clear way to give children the best possible start in life because of the benefit to the health and development of babies. It is so important that we provide supportive environments for mothers who choose to breastfeed. Plunket is committed to helping to improve breastfeeding rates in New Zealand. We believe that this initiative will provide huge health benefits for babies in the short and long term.”
