New Chair for Construction Industry Council

Pieter Burghout, Chief Executive of the Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ) will act as Chair of the Construction Industry Council for three to six months while a review of the Council’s role and structure is completed and a new Chair can be elected.
Pieter has previously been CEO of the Registered Master Builders Federation and the Building & Construction Industry Training Organisation.
The Construction Industry Council is a forum for the building and construction sector to work on sector-wide issues and promote its interests to government.
The previous Chair of the Council, Richard Michael, stepped down in April.
