RNZCGP WELCOMES AGREEMENT BETWEEN ASMS AND IPAC
WELLINGTON – 3 February 2010 – The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners welcomes today’s agreement between the Association of Salaried Medical Specialists (ASMS) and the Independent Practitioners Association Council (IPAC) on working together to promote clinical leadership and governance in the New Zealand health system.
“We all need to work together,” Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners President Harry Pert said. “This new agreement is an exciting innovation towards general practice networks and hospital specialists working better together. The College commends improved collaboration between primary and secondary care and this is a promising step towards better results for patients.”
