Wakatipu Consultation Feedback Report available
Wakatipu Consultation Feedback Report available now on
Southern DHB Website
The
feedback report from a consultation held by the former
Southland District Health Board (DHB) on its proposed
changes to the way health care is delivered in the Wakatipu
region is now available on the Southern DHB
website.
Southland DHB held the consultation with its staff and the public over eight weeks during March and April 2010. The Board received a total of 266 submissions during the process.
The feedback report is available at www.southerndhb.govt.nz (under the heading ‘health strategy and planning’ – consultations).
The report is a summation of staff and the public’s feedback. It does not make any recommendations, however it will be used to inform a DHB management recommendation to the new Southern DHB Board (which was formed on 1 May 2010 as a result of the merger of Southland and Otago DHBs) after consultation with staff and their representatives.
Next Steps
Southern
DHB is intending to consult further with unions representing
staff employed at the DHB regarding the
feedback.
Following this consultation, a management recommendation will be submitted to the Southern DHB Board for consideration.
