What’s the value of good health?

What’s the value of good health?

As part of Men’s Health Week, Lifestyle Health & Fitness Clubs, will put Laurie Gallen, Branch Manager of Carters Petone through a cutting edge scientific test called BioAge (as used in The Biggest Loser) to determine what his biological age is Vs his chronological age.

Mens Health Week June 14th – 20th
The Men’s Health Week 2010 campaign is proudly supported by Carters and is being run on behalf of the Stroke Foundation of New Zealand, the Australasian Men’s Health Forum, the National Maori Men’s Health Coalition and General Practitioners New Zealand.

Lifestyle are also proud to be part of this campaign, owner Steve Millar will be talking and presenting at a Carter’s Breakfast during Men’s Health Week held on Wednesday 16th June, 7am – 9pm at Carters, Petone.

At this breakfast, Lifestyle’s Health & Fitness Senior Personal Trainer Bernie Semau will put Laurie through the final set of three fitness tests; Prone Hold, Push Ups and Three Minute Step. As the BioAge test takes a minimum of 30 minutes to complete, Laurie will have untaken majority of his test at Lifestyle Health & Fitness Club, Lower Hutt that week. Carter’s invited attendees at the Breakfast will have the privilege of not only understanding why our daily lifestyle habits can add years or take years off our lives, but also see BioAge testing in action for the first time in New Zealand.

Lifestyle Health & Fitness Clubs are in Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt and are soon to turn 21 this October. Lifestyle will be running BioAge tests from their Clubs early July, 2010.

7 REASONS TO HAVE YOUR BIOAGE TESTED
1. Know your biological age compared with your chronological age
2. Know areas that need focus and areas you’re doing well
3. Undergo a health & fitness program to reduce your biological age
4. Have clear, measurable goals that you know you can reach
5. Get re-tested to track your progress midway in your program
6. Make informed lifestyle changes to help reach your goals
7. Be motivated, feel great, look great and live longer!

Owner of Lifestyle Health & Fitness Clubs, Steve Millar says “Our team prides itself on being at the forefront of any initiative that will get people off the couch, motivate and inspire them to exercise. In the long term our aim is to give our existing members and new members the health & fitness benefits that will enhance their lifestyle. Zumba is a great example of this with class numbers regularly at 100+. Finally I’m really excited by our upcoming launch of BioAge Testing (as seen on The Biggest Loser) again our members will be the first in NZ to experience an exciting and new initiative. Having personally undertaken both the Standard and Sports Tests with RBT Bernie Semau, I know you are going to be motivated by the opportunity to add years to your quality of life. I know I am.”
