Motor Neuron Disease Global Awareness Day 21 June
Motor Neuron Disease is an indiscriminate disease that can affects people of any race, colour, faith or economic status. Its diagnosis affects more than just the patient, rippling out to family, friends, workmates and carers.
This Motor Neuron Disease Global Awareness Day on 21 June aims to generate awareness about the condition and encourages the community to join the fight and spread the word.
Tunstall Healthcare supports people living with Motor Neuron Disease by offering immediate access to care.
Tunstall’s response centre can be contacted 24 hours a day, seven days a week where the response operator has information on the patient’s condition and can organise the appropriate care, such as a family member or friend to be contacted, after hours GP to be organised or ambulance to be called.
Tunstall also offers special devices that allow people living with Motor Neuron Disease to quickly activate a Tunstall alarm call for help, even as their motor skills decline.
