Upper Hutt Cares ~ An Information Expo for Carers

This expo will be held on Tuesday 23rd August from 11am – 3pm at Riverstone Recreation Hall, Expressions Arts and Recreation Centre, 836 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt.

The event is totally free and open to the public.

Laurie Hilsgen, CEO of Carers NZ will be a guest speaker at the Expo, talking about the latest progress and sources of help for carers.

Carers NZ will also have an exhibitor booth at the Expo, information at our booth will include the magazine Family Care NZ, the Government's newly expanded Guide for Carers, and free carer infopacks.

Other exhibitors at the Expo include: Life Unlimited, Alzheimers Wellington, Driving Miss Daisy, Freedom Medical Alarms, Open Home Foundation, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Work and Income, Enliven Community Support, and more!

There are still more exhibitor booths available. If your organisation would like to be a part of the Expo simply click on the Exhibitors Application Form for further information.

There are many different organisations and groups that offer help and support for carers, however many people are unaware of what support is available to them and what help they’re entitled to.

Knowing how life can be made a little bit easier and who to reach out to can make all the difference for a carer and the person receiving support.
