New psychiatry research released
The latest edition of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry has been released and contains a number of interesting and relevant research articles including:
• Significant relationship between
lifetime alcohol use disorders and suicide attempts in an
Australian schizophrenia sample
• The comorbidity
between eating disorders and anxiety disorders: Prevalence

• Social connectedness: A potential aetiological

of mental disorder: maximizing recovery, maintaining hope,

specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand and has

There are currently more than 3000 Fellows of the College who account for approximately 85 per cent of all practising psychiatrists in Australia and over 50 per cent of psychiatrists in New Zealand.
