Tunstall Healthcare, the world’s leading provider of assistive technology has just launched the new Family Connect + personal alarm for personal responding.
In an emergency the Family Connect + directly dials the user’s personal responders, initiating two way speech when the responder answers their phone.
If the call is not answered by the users programmed responders, the alarm call is directed to Tunstall’s 24 hour response centre where the call will be answered by a trained response operator who will organise immediate assistance.
The Family Connect + is activated by the large red button on the unit or a pendant that the user keeps with them at all times, even when in the shower.
This ensures that family and friends are quickly and easily notified if their loved one needs help.
The pendant can activate an alarm call up to 50 meters from the base alarm, can be programmed with up to three personal responders and can use personally recorded voices.
Retailing for $275 all Family Connect + alarms purchased in April includes 12 months free backup response centre monitoring.
