New Private Hospital Rebranded as Crest Hospital

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MEDIA RELEASE
27 March 2013

New Private Hospital Rebranded as Crest Hospital

As of tomorrow Palmerston North’s two private hospitals are coming together under a new locally designed brand - Crest Hospital.

The new entity - Southern Cross Aorangi Hospital Partnership Limited - was formed in August 2012 when Southern Cross Hospital on Carroll Street and Aorangi Hospital on Grey Street amalgamated.

Both hospitals have a strong heritage in the region and the two facilities will continue to operate out of their current, separate locations. They will be one organisation under one brand with the facilities differentiated by being called ‘Crest Hospital on Carroll’ and ‘Crest Hospital on Grey’.

Jim Jefferies, a Director on the Southern Cross Aorangi Hospital Partnership Board, says the new brand represents a stronger, more progressive and sustainable healthcare provider for the region.

“Crest Hospital is a valuable asset to the Manawatu region. Patients can expect the same high level of professional care they have always received throughout this rebrand.” The decision to merge and rebrand the hospitals was an easy one according to Lorna Grové, Chief Executive Officer of Southern Cross Aorangi Hospital. The partnership was “an excellent opportunity for both hospitals to combine expertise and resources to continue to deliver high quality, flexible, private surgical care to the region.”

Grové believes that the new name and brand perfectly represents the core values of Crest Hospital, which are; leadership, progress, respect, care and trust. “Staff at both Crest Hospital facilities are excited to be a part of this progressive partnership.

Everyone has been looking forward to working under the one identity, using an attractive new brand and contributing to the vision of Crest Hospital.”

Though the rebranding begins this week with changes to in-house signage, the entire process will be rolled out progressively over the next few months.
