Today at 3:10pm, the TrustPower TECT
rescue helicopter was called to Waihi Beach where a two car
collision on Emerton road resulted in three injuries. The
helicopter flew a 23 year old male to Tauranga hospital
with serious leg and hip injuries. A 24 year old female was
transported by road with facial injuries along with a 74
year old with internal Injuries. The accident was on a bend
in the road. St John paramedics and the New Zealand fire
service had to cut the 23 year old from the vehicle before
being
flown.
