Community Advocate appalled at Suicide Figures
Community Advocate appalled at Suicide Figures
I am deeply saddened by figures released saying that we have had a huge increase in the number of suicides this year.
My heart breaks for the 569 whanau across Aotearoa who have been devastated by this tragedy in the year to May 2015.
I have spoken in years past about how we are muzzled by the law when we want to talk openly about the hurt that affects us when this strikes.
I can not believe that enough is still NOT being done.
Aotearoa has one of the highest rates of death from suicide in the world.
We need to do more
