Important Message About New Grey Base Hospital
Important Message About New Grey Base Hospital And Integrated Family Health Centre Timeline
Statement from West Coast District Health Board Chief Executive David Meates:
The Hospital Redevelopment Partnership Group has made a decision to delay the start of the Grey Hospital and Integrated Family Health Centre [IFHC] project. This delay is because the Partnership Group require price certainty that the project is within the agreed budget of $68M before work can proceed. Further work is being undertaken in relation to this need for price certainty, with the Ministry of Health directing this process.
The timetable for the facility development has been revised as a result of this delay. While this is unfortunate, the DHB remains committed to continue working collaboratively with our partners in this project to bring to life a new facility for the people of the West Coast.
