WellSouth Primary Health Network is offering community education for residents of Invercargill and the surrounding region with Type 2 Diabetes.
Its called DESMOND, which stands for Diabetes Education and Self-Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed.
Put
simply DESMOND is:
• A way of finding out more about
Type 2 Diabetes
• A resource to help manage the changes
diabetes brings to life
• An opportunity to meet and
share experiences with others
DESMOND sessions are run in
local areas in small groups.
DESMOND is a FREE one-day programme from 9am until approximately 4pm. Led by trained health professionals it is an education session designed to support the person with diabetes to become the expert.
