Keneperu after-hours health care: a defining issue in upcoming DHB elections
“I commit to do everything I can as a CCDHB candidate and a Board member to stop the closure of the Kenepuru Medical Centre at night,” said Labour’s Capital and Coast District Health Board candidate Eileen Brown.
“Having access to after-hours health care is just as important for families in the Northern suburbs, Porirua and the Kapiti Coast as it is everywhere else in the region and the service must remain open throughout the night.”
“The stress of having a sick child or other family member in the middle of the night is immense without the added worry of no after-hours health centre nearby.”
“The future of the after-hours health and medical care at Kenepuru is a defining issue for the upcoming elections and I urge all candidates to join me and pledge to requiring the DHB keep this essential service open throughout the night.”
Eileen Brown is a former nurse and the New Zealand Labour Party candidate at the upcoming Capital and Coast District Health Board elections.
