Boy Airlifted from Tongariro Crossing
The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the Tongariro Crossing this afternoon at 1500 to assist an 11yr old boy who had fallen and suffered leg injuries. The on board paramedic made the boy comfortable and then he was airlifted to Rotorua Hospital in a stable condition.
The helicopter was used due the remote location
