Big Day Out A Sell Out
Auckland's Big Day Out concert begins today with over 45,000 revellers are expected at the sold out event held at the Ericsson Stadium.
The combination of the hot and humid weather and dancing concert goers has lead event organisers to put together a 50 strong medical team in preparation for multiple cases of heat exhaustion.
They advise patrons to bring plenty of water with them and not to over exert themselves while enjoying the entertainment.
Over fifty DJs and Bands will play the Stadium including the international supremos the Chemical Brothers and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and local acts Garageland and Salmonella Dub.
The concert tickets sold out quickly and yesterday
police were called to an Auckland record store when owners
became concerned that angry fans missing out would
riot.
