Norman writes: " Both photos below were taken at 5.15pm just as the sun was sinking behind the Ohau mountain range. The cloud formation and the setting sun created this wonderful assortment of colours that would be near on impossible to reproduce.

There is quite a bit of snow on the mountains, and this lends itself to beautiful photographs at this time of year. This scene before you only last for a moment, before it once again changes colour. "
