Waitangi Fisheries commissioner Maui Solomon discusses
possible outcomes after the Government announced on Monday,
that it intended to legislate to assert Crown ownership of
the foreshore and seabed after a Court of Appeal ruled there
was no clear evidence Maori customary title had been
extinguished by the Crown. Last night they
voted. The New Zealand goverment have passed a bill that
will see prostitution decriminalised in this country.
Running brothels will now be legal, as will soliciting. The
controversial bill passed 60 votes to 59.... After 3 long
years, Tim Barnett who sponsored the bill last night said he
was delighted but numb. Tim Barnett joins us
