95bFM WIRE Today: With Simon Pound

-------12:00 bfm News with
Jen.Weather and the surf report.
12:08 Sir
Robert Jones. Sir Robert is what they call a real character.
Known for his success in the property business, his
occasional forays into national politics, his unabashedly
opinionated newspaper columns and his appreciation of boxing
he is a man of many parts. He also writes the odd novel to
satirically examine the ills abroad today. He has in the
past targeted mass tourism, environmentalism and journalism
and now, in his latest novel 'Degrees for Evewryone', the
commercialisation and trivialisation of Tertiary education.
He joins us to chat about this and more - and with any luck
he'll have the CEO of New Zealand Cricket, Martin Sneddon,
in his office with him. 1:10 Dr. Nick
Smith. The Member for Nelson, Dr Nick Smith, was yesterday
convicted for contempt of court over his disclosures
concerning a Family Court case. The conviction brings the
possibility of a bye-election as he seeks to reiterate his
mandate. It also opens up the debate over the secrecy of the
Family Court. To get the details of his plans and of how he
is faring he joins us today. 1:30 Alastair
Thompson of scoop.co.nz with In The House.
1:45 Ant Timpson with the Film Review.
The Wire, 12-2pm weekdays, 95bFM. Listen online

Aucklanders can tune in at 95 on the FM
