Stateside: Important Notice To California Voters

Because of the success of recent voter registration drives, many newly registered voters might find that they don't receive their election materials in time for Tuesday's election.

Do not despair! To find out your polling place and what your ballot will look like, go to http://www.smartvoter.org/ca/state/ and under MY BALLOT enter your street address and zip code. Then click the Go for it! button.

If the page that comes up says that you need to contact your county elections official to find your polling place, then go to http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/elections_ppl.htm and search in that page for your county and the phone number to call or web page to look at.

You are entitled to ask for a provisional ballot at the polling place if you haven't received one in the mail. See http://www.lwv.org/ for the Five Things You Need to Know on Election Day.
