Welcome To a New Contributor

David W Young wrote: DogBitingMen’s new contributor, Olivia Kember, is talented, witty and intelligent. She wears many (perfectly coordinated) hats, working in radio, television and print. But her addition raises the inevitable question: DogBitingMen or DogBitingPersons?

My Two Hats

Olivia Kember wrote that she wears only two hats – a black and yellow cap embroidered with “AMI Insurance Autobody Repair Competition 2004”, and one made of toweling which is worn with part of the brim up, and part of the brim down. Like a gangster.

Thank You India

David W Young wrote about Auckland Winemakers Kim and Erica Crawford producing “Pansy Rose”, a pink wine aimed at the gay market, and introduced DogBitingMen’s first competition.

Donna’s World View

David W Young wrote that he became Donna Awatere-Huata’s press secretary a month after her stomach stapling. In the next three years he felt more loyalty to her than he ever had to anybody. In hindsight, it may have been naïve. Donna is a master of self reinvention. But she never stopped at recreating herself.

Conjoined Triplets

Ben Thomas wrote about David Tua’s use of public transport; a minimalist gallery launch, and underground strippers in Auckland’s Symonds Street.
