Audio interview with Lyndon HoodAuthor Aleksander Hemon set out to master English after war in his home Sarajevo left him stranded in the United States. His short stories and his novel The Nowhere Man have received great acclaim worldwide.
Hemon is in New Zealand for the NZ Post Writers and Readers week. He spoke to Scoop about being compared to Vladimir Nabokov, working with English as a second language and a language of migrants, the relationship between himself and his characters and the subject of current work.
