Syed Atiq ul Hassan: September the Eleven
September the Eleven
By Syed Atiq ul Hassan on the 5th Anniversary of 9/11 (2001)
I share the grief and pain of
Americans
Who lost their loved ones on September the
Eleven
I expect Americans to share the sufferings of
Iraqis and Afghanis
Who lost their brothers and sisters
since September the Eleven
I condemn terrorism that
exposed on September the Eleven
I also declaim worldwide
hatred launched since September the Eleven
I oppose WMD
being developed by Iran
I also reprove WMD warehoused by
the First World
I understand feverishness of Americans
since September the Eleven
I also sympathize with
tortures to others since September the Evelen
I raise
voice against the human crimes in the world ...
I also
like Americans to judge the human abuses in Guantanamo
Bay
I respect the freedom and sovereignty of
Americans
I hope Americans would respect the liberty and
independence of others
I pray for peace, harmony and
equality
But I know these will not be delivered by terror
AS
Terror cannot be eliminated by Terror
