Friday 13 october 2006, a dark day in the history of the capital. It was bloody, there were guts and screams were heard!
Wellington's inaugural "Zombie Walk" saw a large number of citizen-ghouls roaming the streets in search of salvation and something to feast on. The event was organised by by Robbie Neilson via the internet website "myspace". It echoed the similar overseas zombie gathering of San Francisco or neighboring Brisbane.
At 12.30pm, several dozen zombies started a long, drawn out lurch towards the recently refurbished Glover Park. For the unsatiated walking dead, an after party was held at Massey University's student hall in the afternoon.
