Stateside With Rosalea: Shopping With Doreen
Shopping With Doreen
When I was growing up in a small country town in the ’50s and ’60s, one of the special treats of staying home sick on a school day was that I’d get to listen to the Shopping Report with Doreen on 2ZB. Wellington seemed like such a magical place and the stores Doreen visited were filled with exotic goods I’d never see in my hometown stores. It is in that spirit that I give you my own Shopping with Doreen.

It’s the same Westfield company that owns a number of shopping malls and plazas in New Zealand. “Centre” is spelled that way, I suppose, because it’s a little classier than “Center”—as is “theatre” rather than “theater.”
