In another sign of summer's arrival, Wellington has has dusted off its costumes and is putting on its traditional display of tomfoolery for the Rugby Sevens.
Converging on Wellington's Westpac Stadium, fans of rugby-related partying braved psychological analysis their choice of outfit, be it superhero, fairy, bridal, military, ethnic, retro, skimpy, movie-related, cross-dressed or any combination of the above.
Scoop was there, hoping that sevens-goers had remembered the sunblock.
