Audio: Downer on Fiji, Iran ,Iraq and David Hicks

New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters and his Australian counterpart Alexander Downer held a joint media conference this morning at the completion of their regular six-monthly talks. Issues discussed at the media conference were the ongoing situation in Fiji following Commodore Frank Bainarama's coup, the situatiuon in Iraq, whether media reports regarding a possible United States attack on Iran are credible and the fate of Australian Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks. Near the end of the press conference Mr Peters also had time to espouse on – in his opinion – the foolishness of Maori Party leader Tariana Turia's latest foray into immigration policy.
