New Zealand is to build a giant Rugby Ball Venue in front of the Eiffel Tower. This attractive architectural gift to the citizens of Paris will be situated close to the Eiffel Tower on Paris' Champ de Mars. The oval structure will take three days to build and will stand proudly for three weeks during the 2007 World Cup which this year is being hosted by France.

The Prime Minister in a press statement paid thanks to the Mayor of Paris Mr Bertrand Delanoe for his support in achieving the prime location for the Kiwi Rugby Ball Venue.
The venue was designed by Mike Mizrahi. The venue holds up to 220 people and is housed in an inflatable structure which stands 25 metres long by 15 metres wide and is 12 metres high.
