3 June 2008: PM Hosts Short Press Conference

The Prime Minister
covered a number of topics in a short post-cabinet press
conference this afternoon. According to the PM 'Working for
Families' - a government inititiave which is at present
facing a legal challenge - is working as intended. The
country can relax about any potential power crisis in the
PM's opinion. Although Labour is trailing in the polls the
Prime Minister considers this period of skirmishing with the
Opposition as an electoral 'phoney war'. The Prime Minister
did not go into any further detail as to who was the Axis
powers and who were the Allies regarding the phoney war
scenario however.
