The silly season officially returned to the capital today as Wellingtonian turned out to take lollies and trinkets from oddly-dressed strangers.
A parade was held this lunchtime in honour of this weekend's NZI Sevens, giving the city a chance to greet teams from 16 nations, as well as their bobble-headed mascots. Music, dancing and costumed tomfoolery were also a feature.
