- Scoop Audio: The Green Party super fund will divest from its two houses to “give clarity to the public”, Party Co-leader Metiria Turei announced today.
The Party’s super fund has stocks in three different companies, a flat on the Terrace and a house in Thorndon.
Although the arrangement is approved by parliamentary services, Turei said it was important to give clarity to the public, particularly because the party is committed to a full review of MP expenses and allowances.
The decision to sell the houses coincides with
Sue Bradford’s departure from parliament, possibly
enabling her to “cash up” her contribution to the
fund.
