Scoop Audio: Obama call to ousted official Shirley Sherrod

• Connie Lawn: President Obama has finally reached the ousted USDA Official, Shirley Sherrod. She was wrongly fired from the US Department of Agriculture.

In a few days, she has become one of the most famous and powerful people in this country, because she stood up after she was wronged.

She now plans to sue the blogger who took her words out of context. She hopes to write a book about her father, who had been murdered. And, she may accept any one of a number of jobs in Government or the private sector. But, the whole incident, along with one involving the New Black Panthers and voter intimidation, have re-opened the racial debate in the US.
