Ambassador Mike Moore is now officially the New Zealand Ambassador to the United States. He presented his credentials to President Obama in a short, formal, and impressive ceremony at the White House. Several other new Ambassadors also presented their credentials. Last week, upon arrival, he presented credentials to the State Department. Now, the tough work begins, but Ambassador Moore is his usual upbeat, friendly, and positive self. He also looks fit and trim, and is ready for his latest diplomatic role.
He gave Scoop reporter Connie Lawn the first interview after the White House ceremony. Here it is, straight from his office at the New Zealand Embassy in Washington:
