Call to pray for trapped Pike River miners
New Zealand Christian Network is calling on Christians around the country to pray for the miners trapped in the Pike River coal mine and their families.
We specially request prayer for:
• The
safe rescue of the miners
• Comfort and strength for
their families as they wait
• Guidance for all those
involved in the rescue
• Improvement in the weather,
the methane levels and temperatures inside the mine
•
The media, that they will treat the issue with sensitivity,
respecting the intense emotions of those involved.
“We hope for an outcome as favourable as that experienced recently by the Chilean miners. Our prayers are for all those involved at this testing time,” said NZ Christian Network National Director Glyn Carpenter.
