Radio Adelaide: Selwyn Manning & Jess Wingard – ANZAC Day Thoughts
Scoop co-editor Selwyn Manning and Radio Adelaide's Jess Wingard discuss how thousands of people have turned out in the rain around New Zealand to attend ANZAC Day dawn services. Also discussed are thoughts of why ANZAC Day is becoming more popular with young Australians and Kiwis.
Selwyn Manning notes however that a stain exists on this ANZAC Day in New Zealand after a Metro Magazine investigation by award winning journalist Jon Stephenson claims that Kiwi soldiers in Afghanistan had been ordered to hand over detainees to US and Afghani interrogation units. The report states some of the detainees were tortured.
