One Person Confirmed Dead After June 13 Quake

An elderly resident of a Christchurch resthome has been confirmed dead after the June 13 cluster of quakes that struck the Canterbury region.
Canterbury District Health Board spokeswoman Amy Milne confirmed to reporters that the DHB was told of the man's death on Tuesday morning.
The DHB spokeswoman said the man fell when the second magnitude 6.3 quake struck on Monday. The chief executive of Oceania rest home told reporters that the man recovered briefly from his fall but later died during the night.
