David Beatson IV: Reinventing Public Broadcasting
Broadcaster
David Beatson is interviewed by Glenn Williams on
the news that funding for TVNZ 7 will be discontinued, and
parliament’s recent decision to scrap the TVNZ Charter,
has raised concerns about the government’s future
commitment to public broadcasting.
One solution being suggested is to leverage the current resources at Radio NZ. Do we need to reinvent public broadcasting? David Beatson is speaking on this at a forum held at Unitec in Auckland on August 11.
This interview was first published on Radio Wammo and
KiwiFM.
