Scoop co-editior Alastair Thompson films his cat in the first snow to settle in Karori, Wellington, in 22 years. Sylvia the cat has lived here since 1998... and is somewhat surprised.
Footage of a trip to Karori from the Karori Tunnel up Chaytor Street and along Karori Road as far as Donald Street. The video was made on Monday evening shortly after 6pm as snow was falling. The streets were so full of snow that it was hard to maintain traction. Few motorists were out and about as a result.
