Announcing the Silver Gold Calculator from Solari and The Moneychanger now available at the iTunes store!

It’s been a while in coming, but it’s available now. Solari and The Moneychanger’s Silver and Gold Calculator can be installed on your mobile device, iPhone, iPod, iPad or iPod Touch.

Use this link for direct access to download the Silver Gold Calculator at the iTunes Store.

This is what Catherine and Franklin Sanders of The Moneychanger had to say about the Silver Gold Calculator on the August 11, 2011 Solari Report:

Franklin: The calculator enables you to take any dollar amount or euro amount, 20 or so different currencies you could use it in, and it calculates how much gold or silver coin you would need to pay that amount. So in any country you are at in the world it can calculate how you can pay a bill in silver or gold.

The biggest complaint you get from people when you say well why don’t you use silver in your everyday lives is… people don’t know what it’s worth. If I offer somebody a silver round, or a waitress a silver round after dinner, she looks at it and says “I don’t know what it’s worth.” Now you’ve got it on your iPhone (iPad, or iPod) and you whip that out and it tells you exactly how to make the payment.

Catherine: And you can do it in many different currencies, not just the dollar; I would also point out at both the calculator on the web and on the iPhone app there is an Equivalents Page where you can see a long list of gold and silver coins, the most common and popular ones, and we have a live feed from Gold Money and you can see the melt value for each coin so if you are in a position of negotiating to buy or sell any coin it’s very easy to jump off and click to the Equivalents Page. The melt value is the ounces of silver or gold in a coin times the spot price.

It seems like this is a week where a lot of people could fathom the idea of using silver and gold to pay for things! This is how you start a community currency – it’s the JUST DO IT currency!

Check it out now at the iTunes Store!
